End of a Movement

One quibble: although a lot of the Code Pinkers are "senior citizens" and greying leftovers from the Vietnam protest era, many of the pink t-shirt wearers are quite young Code Pinkette babes. (Put Code Pink in the flickr search engine whenever there's a protest day with new photos to upload and you'll see quite a young crowd as well). On the other hand, Mr. Lake's contention about the sputtering out of the Protest Summer's efforts seems to be born out by Medea/Susan Benjamin attempting to hightail it to the more fertile streets of Canada for anti-war protests there. Perhaps decreasing the will of one of the Coalition of the Willing like Canada seems more promising now than beating a dead congressional horse that can't deliver the impeachment and pull-out legislation they so desire. She tried to get in...she was, however, refused entry at the Canadian border. So today she's written an op-ed in the Globe & Mail about "not forsaking the peacemakers". As if. Topped it off with getting arrested today outside of the congressional hearing where her red-handed Code Pink crony accosted Sec. Rice. (The Democrat Chairman of the Foreign Relations committee ,Tom Lantos, nobly stepped forward to defend Sec. Rice when said Code Pinker got in Sec. Rice's face-literally-encircling the Secretary's head with her "bloody" hands and arms).
