Wow, I have sided with the Cuban refugees ever since I visited Miami as an adult in the late '70's and now I know why.
I have always been a great believer in freedom, but it's disgusting how a great democratic republic such as ours can turn a blind eye to something like this that is so close to us, and yet seemingly so far away! The reason, as far as I can see, why we as a nation have never heard this kind of a message about life in Cuba is that the liberal (Socialist) media in this country turns a blind eye to true human rights abuses in the name of power in countries that they seem to revere. How can we allow these conditions to continue to exist without doing something more to help remedy the situation. Do what you can to try to impel your federal representatives to change the immigration laws in favor of the Cuban people so that they might help speed up regime change in Cuba that actually lets the Cuban people flourish, not that lets some other Banana Republic dictator gain and keep power over his fellow man.
