What is so great about the SOX pitching other than Beckett? Definately an if, but if the Yankees 3 good young pitchers pitch pretty well next year, and they add some relief help, their staff will be at least as good as the Sox, which I think is just above average. Of course they need to keep Rivera, Posada and A-ROD. If all of the above happens, the Yankees will have the best team in the majors. However, lots of if's.Regarding the SOX, Manny and Ortiz are slowing down some-what, Varitek is definately past his prime, Lugo is terrible, Drew is overated, Lowell played much better than one can expect from him next year, Timlin is old and Wakefield looks like he's about done and how much is left in old Curt. I could go on and on about how I don't see the SOX getting to the world series next year. They happen to be hot at the right time. The Yankees got off to such a bad start that they wore out at the start of the playoffs.
