This is a silly controversy. The only reason that Harmonie and other exclusively Jewish clubs exist is because Jews were excluded from other clubs. Harmonie exists because Jews were excluded from places like the Metropolitan Club across the street. There were never Protestants and Catholics applying and denied membership. If anti-Semitic exclusion had not been practiced, there would be no Harmonie Club nor exclusively Jewish golf clubs. The exclusions live on today.
