I read this article and thought, who is this guy?! And then I got to the end. Ah, yes! He founded the American Spectator, a publication that has provided us with so much reliable information in the past and in no way has a crazed anti-Clinton agenda.
Readers should note that in seven "points" he manages to touch on actual Clinton policies he disagrees with in only one sentence (the bit about the health care initiative in '93 and education in Arkansas) and fails to even flesh out that argument. He also doesn't elaborate on any reason why Americans should not want a return to the Clinton '90s for themselves. His entire piece focused on either the Clinton's personalities, personal life or actions that had little to do with prosecuting the job of president of the United States. Also, you'll excuse me if I don't take at face value, the reliability of Mr. Tyrrell's sources or veracity of his accusations given the hatchet job his magazine did on the Clinton's during the '90s.
Finally, his seventh assertion is ludicrous. The idea that the media has treated the Clinton's with kid gloves is totally indefensible. It belies the media's coverage of the $70 million Starr investigation, which you'll recall turned up absolutely nothing about anything except Clinton's affair with Lewinsky. How can Tyrell suggest with any amount of shame that people in the conservative media including, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Joe Scarborough, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, et al. have remained "inert" on the issue of bashing Clinton, when one of the above openly called him gay in an interview? It doesn't add up.
