This is the most important thing to her. She sees that this stand is what the majority of the country wants. Undoubtedly her statements will be popular with the majority of Americans. It will resonate even with Republicans who don't like one of their top four. The lady just wants to get elected, not fall on her sword for AIPAC. She doesn't need AIPAC's support anymore. And she certainly doesn't need to clear her statements with Tom Lantos. Such is life.
