Elliot Spitzer, and the rest of the politicians, seem for a long time to forget one thing: They are supposed to do what The People tell them to do! That is what an elected official is supposed to do = Represent The People. That's why their are different districts with lot's of politicians for the state. Plus he does this with NO debate - who declared him king?

For the govenour to go over what The People of NY say, 2/3's against the license being issued, should tell him to drop all aspects about it. So what does he do, a typical political move lately, do as he wants and brings in the federal REAL ID Act. Elliot - YOU do NOT represent The People of NY State!

The REAL ID Act, which stated in your article as it isn't even finished yet, is NOT trusted by most of America! All the issues you brought up, plus a few you missed, is the ' real ' problem with that and then the feared Goverment Abuse that will come with it also.

Like I started, Elected officials are supposed to listen to their constituents and in turn vote such ways, NOT do what you want to do or Vote your conscience as some do, but to Vote and Do what The People of NY Tell you to do - 2/3 of The People of NY against 1/3 and he goes Federal - why doesn't he go Federal on Mayor Bloomberg when the Mayor went over not only city lines but outside state borders to do illegal gun-sting operations in other states and has NY City money tied up in it, rather NY State money tied up in it? You were asked to investigate this before you were gov. and A.G. Cuomo doesn't want to do it either! But you will fight cityhall for us - WHEN? WHEN if you can't even follow us on something as simple as a drivers license.

You want to give a drivers license to peole that aren't supposed to be in this country. Why don't you round them up, deport them and we won't have the problem of unlicensed and un-insured drivers! This is the ' real ' answer.
