Union Set To Challenge Council on Suburb Ban

In many titles, residents of the suburbs are permitted by state law to take public employment jobs in New York City. But New York City residents are NOT permitted to take public employment jobs in the suburbs. There are many state laws like this one.

I would favor a residency requirement for all New York City public employees. I would also favor an absence of residency requirements for all public employees in all jurisdictions in the state. Either way.

I'm sick of the assumption that NYC residents should get the wrong end of every deal, and that this is not even a subject of discussion.
