I am taking the NYU course with Michael Stoeller, and this article was a great summary of our class last Tuesday morning. After the seminar was over, I asked one or two of the panelists when the nightlife was coming to the Financial District. The time is ripe for someone to make a killing by opening a cool lounge, bar, or club. In two years, the financial district could be the next hot place to live, shop, eat, stay AND go out, but someone has to get the party started:) Amy Sacco is evidently cooking something up, but there's a lot of potential for someone to grab hold of.
