My name is Marielle I am a senior at Trinity High school in Washington, PA.

Sir the topic of Global warming was not a concern of mine until my mother and I watched an Inconvient Truth. I was doing a paper on oceanography or geology. But my mother, Keturah Wasler, said that they can not be seperated and then she showed me the movie. I got sooo angry...Mad at all the adults who let this happen. Mad at myself for being so selfish. So my paper showed the interactions and relationshipof both. With the help of your movie, Spike Lee's when the levees broke about Katrina, and what my mom taught me, I also gave a presentation for like a minute on the subject and received so much flack and heckling from some students. And I wasn't given enough time to tell how to change things and everything that is going on.

Oh...and I read that the teachers association shot down the donation and man what were they thinking! Anyway I went to my principal My Donald Snoke and spoke to him about global warming and he told me that I can put on an assembly.

Oh my god I am so nervous...I have contacted local groups to get speakers; a group in Philadelphia to get speakers; or if no speaker can come I asked for any guidance they can give or/and information to share with the school. Trinity's auditorium is big enough to hold the entire student body which is around 1500 students. That is a lot of people to talk to. I told the Principal that I would like to hold the assembly in Jan but I am flexible because of everyone else's schedule.

I am writing to request your help. Would you Al Gore like to come to my high school in Washington, PA and give or assist a presentation on Global warming? I am only work part-time at Burger King so I can't pay you much--if you need money for your time. (I just wanted to be upfront about it)

If you can not come can you send someone else or send any flyers pamphlets or DVD's to give to anyone who is interested.

You know the issue better than anyone and you wrote Earth in the Balance in 1993. In the movie you looked so young trying to get people to hear you on lowering CO2 emissions. I dont mean you look old now or anything. Just that you have been doing this so long. I am also going to contact people at Washington and Jefferson college to try to get a professor to come.

I am and have been writing to anyone who may have the ability to contact Mr. Gore to get his help to please help make people aware.

Some people may not think this is the appropriate place but whatever it takes to get more people aware and participating Now and forward.
