Turkey Before the Gates Of Hell in Kurdistan

Dear Youssef Ibrahim,

You should not get so nervous about Turkish Army's operations in Northern Iraq if you really believe PKK's baby-killers will come out with a victory from their struggle. You mention that the area is large and terrorists are strong comparing to second largest army of NATO. I will say: come on!

American people will never support an organization which its members kill their own women and children to scare and pressure. Turkish Republic is a democratic country with all its people regardless their ethnic background. I had friends in Turkey from almost all ethnic backgrounds. Fortunately, they all think very different from you.

Turkish Republic is fighting with a terrorist organization worse than Al-Qaida (There were no children in twin towers; PKK is worse than Al-Qaida because they are the killers of babies, teachers, doctors and nurses.)

You have right to support any political movement you wish and you are free in this country to write your ideas; we will read and think about what you say. Just do not try to fool us by showing a terrorist mob which is orchestrating all drug-smuggling and human-trafficing in the Middle East with bloody hands.

Turks are America's long-time allies. They supported us starting Korea in every major war we needed them since 1950. And, Turkish soldiers are fighting in Afghanistan now to finish Al Qaida's rootless terrorists with US troops. We, Americans know our friends and enemies. Kurds have been our tactical partners against Saddam. We do know that there were no Kurdish casualties in both Gulf wars but Turkish truck-drivers have been the second group with largest losses after US troops in Iraq.

I do not believe Turks will thank you for your suggestions and warnings. I believe as many other Americans that Turkish Army will end PKK terrorism in Northern Iraq and will make not make only Turks but also Kurds, Assyrians and Turkmens in the area. All terrorist activities has to be ended with the most severe methods. If you call these terrorists with any other name as rebels or freedom fighters, just remember: Turkey is a democratic country according to European Union records.

Anyone develops an armed struggle agains a democratic country is named as terrorist. We are fighting against all terrorists. Our hearts are with Turkish armed personnel as well as our own. We will never be fooled again.

Al Cengiz,

New York / Boca Raton
