Very well put. Though his chances of winning even a large percentage of the vote are minimal, don't be surprised if the real-life Colbert makes a nationwide run for president. He has the fanbase to be handed votes, and the wit and wisdom to earn even more. Whether he "runs" in Ohio or not, he most assuredly will be my write-in candidate for 2008. Only time will tell if his satirical character leads to something more meaningful.
