Feds Seek Life Sentence For Contempt in Hamas Case

Submitted by Mauri' Saalakhan, Nov 2, 2007 07:36

It says much about the deteriorating state of American justice and the so-called "rule of law," when a defendant can be found innocent of the most serious charges in a criminal case, and still potentially receive what amounts to being capitol punishment. The mere prospect of such should cause every fairminded citizen to lower their head in shame.

As an African American I am reminded of the words of Langston Hughes. "That justice is a blind goddess is a thing to which we blacks are wise. Her bandage hides two festering sores, which once, perhaps, were eyes."
