Very good news indeed. She has been persecuted like a witch from the 17th century. Altough she did not do much that was not already admitted by many Jewish colleagues like Kletter, Silberman, Finkelstein and more.

This way of handling history and archaeology goes back to the very beginnings of the modern state of Israel. Ben Gurion, the first prime minister, assembled a group of learned people around him for just that purpose. Ther noted Jewish historian Abraham Malamat belonged among them, and he has never made a secret of it.
