I believe that "Scared" is insightful. If one follows the money, the anti trans fat law leads to politicians who will be glad to regulate one's individual liberty out of existence.

It is simply not about whether trans fat is good or bad for a person to eat; it is about individual rights, which means property rights, which means the right of one to decide for one's self about what he will produce and sell (e.g., trans fat, in this case), and what one will eat.

It is about whether one has the right to exist should he decide to sell or eat trans fat. The government of NYC says no. I say yes -- and so should everyone.
