Our founders understood the need for universal education. Any weakening of that system will weaken this nation. Vouchers will weaken the public school system. There are only so many dollars that the public is willing to spend and if you steal from that pie for private education you hinder that system.The misinformation about public education in this country borders on the criminal. This nations education system is one of the best in the world.....Why are people beating down our borders to get here for a good education...these people are motivated to get a good education which can be had for free. If a student does not learn in our schools in 90% of the cases it is the students and the parents fault for not having expectations. Asian countries and european countries only test the top 10% of their students whiile we test 100%..I will put our our top 10% of students against any in the world and can confidently propose that they will be at the top of the scale. Greed is the reason for backing vouchers!
