N.Y. Senator, Mayor at Odds Over Emissions

The Green movement overlooks that buildings must STAY STANDING and be occupiable to be economical. In NYC, there are many hazards of high occupancy, and these safety issues can not 'BE TRADED'. Today, Americans are using more electricity than ever in powering computers and cellphones. Is this a design issue of buildings? -- We need to pay more attention to energy conservation, and the 'gas-guzzling' use of fuels, and electricity. 'TAXATION' may be the only way to reward the energy frugal, rather than the handing out of GREEN awards. We need to recognize our (historical) heritage.
