Unfortunately banning the Bible in the Olympic village is typical Chinese Communist government reaction -- concealing their hatred of all things Christian and discriminating particularly against Christians while pretending openness when clamoring for the Olympics. We may expect many similar stories from China. The reports I get as an advocate for the contrasting freedom which exists in "Free China" (Taiwan) is they voiced no similar strictures for Muslims or other religions -- only Chritianity. Which demonstrates, I suppose, whom they fear most. Reports from inside China say the 'underground' Christian (non-registered) church grows faster and without controls than any other religious movement despite the gratuitous persecution. It would seem The ChiComs continue their total unfamiliaity with history or they would percieve what prospered during Roman church persecution: "The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church." -- Jack Buttram - Former Executive Director of Friends of Free China
