Signing Rodriguez Would Be a Classic Mets Blunder

Submitted by Jay Baumann, Nov 7, 2007 13:12

I've been a fan since 1962. it is getting more difficult to stay a fan. This team ( as you state ) has been repeating the same mistakes over and over again. I t is hard to love and identify with stupidity.

if they sign Arod or anyone else for top $$ then they also have to concerned about what the other players will expect to be paid . What happens when Wright is eligible for free agency ? reyes ? or any other great player they manage to get ?

In other words , signing Arod will guarantee a long period of mediocrity for the team. ( with a dubious short term value ).
