no,
north crown heights is just that, the portion of crown heights north of eastern parkway, south crown heights is south of it.
while at some point bed stuy was considered to extend to eastern parkway to the south, the current border seems to be atlantic avenue.
the border that is really in question (for both bed stuy & crown heights) is the western one.
that's where residents & realtors disagree; bed stuy vs clinton hill & crown heights vs prospect heights.
for crown heights most residents say the east side of washington is where crown heights begins, yet realtors (hoping for higher prices) will extend the border as far as franklin or even bedford.
I know this same sort of thing happens between clinton hill & bed stuy, but since it's not my hood, i am not sure where that debate begins and ends (tho i believe it's around classon).
honestly, i consider bed stuy and crown heights pretty even with respect to real estate value and allure, so i don't know why a claim would be made to be labeled one over the other.
