Mayor Launches Another Assault on Out-of-State Gun Dealers

Submitted by Donald S Dittmer, Dec 12, 2006 14:56

Now Mayor B. wants to waste more of our [NYS Taxpayers] money to pay for posters to tell criminals that using a gun illegally will get you 3-1/2 years! If the Mayor knew anything, go throught the Federal courts and that minute 3.5 years is an instant MINIMUM of 10-years! That's right Mayor, a bare minimum of 10 years using the Federal gov't NOT your city system, so wake up and see who can do more.

Why is this still going on anyway? The article is incorrect every time it mentions that ' the City ' has done this and that. IT is Mayor B. all by himself that went ahead with this scheme of using our money, going out of not only City lines, but went outside of State lines with our money to do these Potentially Illegal Investigations! He didn't ask for advise and he told no one in his own Administration or the Federal Gov't of what HE planned to do in other states gun stores. NOW there's a law firm here in NYC hired that, of course, all of NY State has to pick up the tab on, which I don't want to pay. Since when is Kelly and every body else standing with the Mayor when it isn't a City thing, it is a Mayor B. ONLY thing!

Since when is it up to a Mayor of a State to do Federal work? Mayor B. is just another RINO, anti-gun politician that can't control the criminal activity in his city so he must go after the law-abiding citizen's gun stores. What do you expect in another city where the law-abiding citizens CAN'T carry their guns? But his office will tell you that his Adm. backs the 2nd Amend. I wrote back and asked how do they back it when ..... They never returned an answer when hit with the truth. But SINCE when is it a lowly mayor's job to do Federal work! Doing what he did potentially screwed up 18 Federal Investigations! But Mikey doesn't care! To Mikey he's doing something to stop the flow of [no-such-thing] illegal guns off his streets. I say no-such-thing because every gun is legal, it is the person that has it is having it illegally, the gun is not illegal!

What kills what Mayor B. with this is that foir a few years his Dept. of Social Services was allowing children to be tortured / killed by their parents / significant other OR the got lost on the shuffle and never found. Now you don't hear much about that dept. anymore, why, well the NYPD has shown to be more dangerous with guns than the criminals. They NYPD also showed that they don't know how to use their weapons. I suggested that they be re-trained, this time by the NRA, so far no reply on that. The NYPD in the last year has 4 big gun incidents that I can remember: 1) on Long Island - a NYPD Officers 10-year old son get's Dad's Duty gun - not sure if kid shoots gun, 2) 6, or 9, officers shoot a guy in a doorway 47 times - hit him only 6 times killing him - wrong man. 3) Bronx - White Castle - Off-Duty plain clothes Officer - Double Intoxicated - is mugged by 6 kids - can't see who they are - goes out to parking lot and grabs somebody - has him on ground with his semi-auto to person's head. Uniforms show up, tell him to drop weapon, he doesn't, uniform shoots the off-duty-drunken plain clothes cop [who later dies] who didn't listen to or give signal to Uniform. 4) This just in - NYPD Fire 50 shots at a car that some cop thinks, get it , THINKS he saw a gun, so they open fire on this car Killing an innocent Groom-to-be! Mayor B. said this might be excessive. Hey Mike, Ya think! Since when do you shoot when it's a ' I thought I saw a ' ? Why isn't the NYPD investigated by the Fed's on these cases.

I'm re-sending my letter to Att. Gen. Spitzer to Investigate, Arrest and to Prosecute Mayor B on several charges. If he did interfere with Federal Investigations besides makeing full restitution he should do much more time! Not that he'll do anything, but if you don't write you're not in it.

Keep the Faith. Stay Safe All, DSD
