Big Ben May Be Nearing Ranks of Brady, Manning

Submitted by JPeezy, Nov 8, 2007 22:52

In 3 of his 4 years in the league Roethlisberger has recorded a QB rating of 98 or greater, a YPA of 8 or better, and has been top 3 in the league on 3rd downs. You can throw out last year as he was unfit to play after the bike wreck, appendectomy, and concussion.

People knock him for his poor SB showing, but his stats and QB rating in his last 4 playoff games combine is better than any other QB in the league including Brady/Manning. The crap about him not being able to throw 30 times or carry an offense is junk. Most games he throws about 15 times in the first half, builds a lead, and then the team runs out the clock on the ground, not the other way around. Idiots who didnt watch the game look at the stats and see 20 passes and 40 runs and think the run game carried Ben, but in reality the first half was 15 passes and 12 runs, the team built a double digit lead and then went into shutdown mode.

It's about time he gets his due. He is clearly a top 5 QB, and has been for some time. I think he is starting to solidify his position as #3 behind Brady and Manning.
