What's wrong with playing football according to the European tradition and style? 7 of the top 10 national teams come from Europe. The top professional leagues play in Europe. If we want to take American football to the top of the world scene, at some point we are going to have to learn how to play and beat European teams consistently. Is a Latin approach the way to do so? I don't know, but I'm not going to embrace that approach uncritically. Take away Brazil and Argentina, and Latin football hasn't done much of anything recently. Maybe incorporating Latin influence will help us beat Mexico more regularly, but how will it help us beat Germany and England and France and Italy?
