What this sunny article fails to mention is that no infrastructure is being expanded to support this combustive growth cycle. Downtown Brooklyn is seriously short of wattage and it will only take a series of hot summer days to prove that. Flatbush Avenue is so congested already it's going to take a Heliport to get all those stars in for an NBA game. Talk about GREEN expansion. This expansion is so meritless and poorly thought out it's difficult to think of a worse plan. Do the Hilton Hotel people actually know they are getting property across the street from not one but two homeless shelters? It seems unlikely. When Marty Markowitz makes his bid for mayor of New York against Christie Quinn, they will both have the big developers in their pockets - who has the biggest? Stay tuned....
