It is outrageous that City Council Simcha Felder would want to waste our tax money,and our time, by promoting cruelty to animals!

What this person is proposing is to starve the city pigeons to death? Tey are the city responsibility, they where, as your article says, "brought from Europe" and thrown into the streets of the city to fend for themselves. Where are they going to find food? Does Council Felder wants to see starved to deadth pigeons in the streets of New York City?

Does he know that it was Woody Allen who made up the phrase "rats with wings" for one of his movies, a few years ago? just becaue he felt like it? There absolutely no scientific or medical evidence that pigeons or pigeon droppings tramsmit any disease to human beings, in fact they are the only wild birds does DOES NOT transmit the Avian Flu.

The people of New York City are not sick and tired of dodging pigeons and their droppings, they are sick and tired of animal abuse, animal haters, animal discrimination and absurd politicians who waste our money in promoting such abuse.

Our planet is dying and so are the animals with it - Why does a demagogue politician want to speed up the process?
