An Ausrian Jew brought me into this world in 1933,a lovely man who I got to know well in later life,so Im a friend of the Jewish people,but as a Roman Catholic I see the Jewish race as in error as not accepting Jesus Christ as the Messiah,the son of God.So the prayer that one day Jews might accept this fact I dont see as offensive.

The Church has to be true to itself,and the truth is that the jewish race are in error
