A Move in The Wrong Direction

I went to the emergency room and was charged $1500. When I submitted to insurance the cost was lowered to $705.00. Is this the reason all hospitals say they are losing money? Perhaps if all people had to pay for their insurance and lawsuits were settled for actual damages things would not get so out of hand. Might even be a return to Dr home visits.
