Mark Steyn is the best dinner table conversation you will ever have, particularly if you are eating in a red state. He is writing about everything that the late Oriana Fallaci put in print in 'The Rage and the Pride.' Every intelligent Westerner's eyebrows should arch when they read that there are more minarettes in Northern Italy than there are church spires. Not to mention that the Italian muslims have silenced those spires church bells. What he writes about is so disturbing that it gives you knots in your stomach. Granted we are sophisticated enough a culture to laugh while we learn, but he's not talking about fat ladies in the deep South dressing up their poodles, he's talking about the real future our great-great grandchildren will have to deal with. This is scary stuff. Unlike Al Gore who is a 'green' manipulator, Steyn is an informed intellectual intent on enlightening us.
