I do not believe that Columbia U is spending money and changing its core curriculum because five nobodies gave up their veggie burgers for a week. The real story is there, somewhere, and I hope some enterprising young reporter, working for an intellectual vigorous new City newspaper, will ferret it out.

For one things, the people who comprise Columbia U, from hoary, tenured professors, to fresh-faced freshmen, are not the kind of people who hang nooses and paint swastikas. I look forward to some trail-blazing reporting to fill in what so far has been a near-total vacuum of facts and motivations.
