The truth is that what the vast majority of liberal and minority protesters really want is not to be an integral part of American culture, but for American culture to embrace their liberal and minority opinions, beliefs, and ways. What is truly tragic is that the United States is in a cultural-decadence-decline — a common pitfall of all long-term successful societies and nations — and consequently in a self-flagellating slump which, if not abandoned quickly, will spell its doom.
