Although Senators Obama and Clinton did support the Bush Doctrine in their last debate, most likely unaware they were doing so, their support for the doctrine may be seconds, minutes, hours or days long while President Bush made a commitment for the indefinite future.
Does anyone really believe that Senators Obama and Clinton or most of the Democrats would not have already fled Iraq and the War On Terror if they could have, repeatedly threatening to cut off military funding. Their Congressional leaders Senator Reid and House Speaker Pelosi are still saying "We have lost. Let's leave immediately or within a year. We are not safer now than we were. The war in Iraq is a mistake."
So the debate answers given by Senators Obama and Clinton are analogous to the broken clock that is right once a day or the dog that sits after its owner commands it to ten times.
