Despite Losses, Nets Have Much Reason for Optimism

Submitted by Michael B., Nov 20, 2007 11:08

Mr Hollinger makes some great points and it is good to believe that things will get better. I have seen something in the losses that has me deeply concerned about this team's ability to win over the long haul.

One common element to all their losses is their lack of speed. With the exception of Sean Williams, the Nets are a plodding team. This is especially apparent on defense. They are unable to keep up with the fast players on the opposition. How many times have we seen Kidd chasing the opposition's point guard? He's not the only one.

As of right now, the Nets don't have an answer for the teams that feature athleticism.
