Lawmakers Are Banking on a Change of Heart by Pataki on Pay Raises

I am against any pay raises for our legislators. The legislators may indeed be part time but they command a full time salery plus all the perks. Most have two offices one in Albany and one in their home district. They dont pay for the rent or the office staff, office equipment,(computers, pens note pads, paper clips, telephones) cars, tolls, gas, cell phones and etc. We the taxpayers pay for all that too. Anyone owning their own business pays for all those things and for the employees as well. No free ride for them! Many people in this state make a lot less then $79,000.00 a year and still support their families. In my opinon we have far too many representatives to support in this state. I think their doing alright financially, as far as I know not one of them lives in a low income area, doesn't own their own home, own a car, doesn't have nice clothes but proberly owns stocks, bonds, a second home or apartment. So I think they should make do on their present salery.Quit whinning and start working for a living.
