Ross McGinnis is the latest in a long string of truly heroic Americans that you've never hear of. I've been following the heroes from the War on Terror for years, most of the time without any media support.
Duane Turner, Lonnie Young, Tommy Rieman, Leigh Ann Hester, Jason Dunham, Paul Smith, Lori Hill
How many of these brave Americans have your read about? Brian Chontosh, from Rochester New York, is a warrior of legendary proportions. Amanda Pinson was awarded a place on the NSA Memorial Wall. Tempie Devers, Stephen Bass, Juan Rubio, the list goes on and on.
I have written about a Cambodian, Albanians, a Sikh woman, an American who once was an illegal alien, a Brit who fought in Vietnam and was a hero on 9/11.
Ross McGinnis is a hero, a young man that all Americans can be very proud of. He is not unique. There are hundreds more like him, men and women, whose courage and self-sacrifice go unnoticed and unreproted every day.
