Apparently the video surveillance from several cameras in the vicinity of Dr. Constantine's office was witheld from law enforcement by Columbia U for at least 48 hrs. The media silence afterwards suggests that anything useful to implicate a suspect was edited out. The best explanation for this, is that this was a hoax. Constantine probably placed the noose on her own door. It gained her fame, sympathy, and power. Has anyone seen any follow up stories on this? There is a long history of african americans and academics putting together similar hoaxes.
