Oil is less than 50 pounds per barrel. It isn't too bad, is it? Don't forget the Chinese economy is gobbling up oil to keep the Europeans plump and prosperous.

In Afghanistan, the Norwegians complained that German helicopters can't fly at night cutting short their anti-Taliban offensives. 12 Canadians were killed because their request for German air covers were not answered. The French are content to be traffic cops. Really, it is not the hegemon's fault that some of her NATO allies are wusses.

The rate was US $100,000 per organ per transplant. They may charge more now because the US dollar has slided so much.

Have you heard the dangerous fool has, lately, gained a few European friends? He is really not that dangerous. He can't do a thing without the consent of our Congress. Our Congress likes to hide behind the fool when things get tough, and likes to claim credit when things are good. Our presidents and the American people have always been regarded as fools by their European betters. FDR was a dangerous fool who sent Americans to die in foreign lands. Reagan was a dangerous fool who couldn't stop provoking the Soviet Bear. Frankly, my dear, most Americans don't give a damn how others regard us.
