Libertarians React to the Raid

There are some days, I truly feel ashamed of my own government. This, is one of those days.

The truth is, we know these people are corrupt. Bush, Cheney, now ex-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.... and so they're pulling this crap now? Whatever credibility they think they have... it's gone now. I don't have any of the currency on me... thankfully. So I'm not out anything. But I have used it in the past. Respected it's value, backed against silver and gold. I'd trust silver and gold over the promises of a bankrupt federal treasury or government, any day. Bankrupt both financially, AND ethically.

The liberty dollar has been UP FRONT AND HONEST. FROM DAY ONE. Never claimed to be legal tender, only a certificate which can be traded as voluntary barter, for ownership of gold and silver. REAL gold and silver. Which was molded into cute coins. What the FBI and the Secret Service has done here, is essentially rob innocent citizens of property rightfully belonging to them, per the terms of the liberty dollar CERTIFICATES. Which is what those little peices of paper clearly state themselves to be. Certificates, not dollars. This is EXACTLY like... buying a pre-paid visa card, and then the government coming along and stealing your prepaid balance right out from under you. This is nothing more than shameless burglary of the private property of American citizens. Brazen, daylight robbery!

Another fine government operation, from the great minds who claimed the late Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Shame on you!!!!!!
