To those (like myself) born before 1948, Lilienthal's association with the anti-Zionist American Council for Judaism, which opposed creation of Israel, was well-known. There's enough "post-Zionism" garbage out there now that to encounter the ante-Israel material again just sends another shudder up the spine.
