What a load of tosh. Biased, unequal, irrelevant and without a shred of evidence that supports the argument that children do better with fathers. Do they do well when we send our young fathers off to fight our wars (and get themselves killed or maimed). Do the they need those fathers who abuse them or abuse their mothers'? Do they need those fathers who spend all day in the bar or the OTB or the gym? Those fathers who have to have that new whatever? Children don't need fathers, what they need is love, understanding, tolerance, learning (of all things), encouragement and to be themselves. What they don't need is condescending attitudes towards their parents and their lives. They really don't need intolerant people subjecting them to heretical and unfounded arguments about the need for fathers. Neither do their mothers.
