Hello All,

Let's face it. All economic activity can be traced directly the bedrock of consumer spending. Everything that is produced is ultimately to support we consumers.

1. Therefore, I suggest that we should do away with all taxes on everyone except consumers. Repeal all taxes on all organizations, businesses, and any entity except individuals. Since everything is driven by consumer spending, all business taxes are paid by consumers when we purchase, so why not shift those taxes to the consumer and businesses can then reduce their prices.

2. I suggest that laws be passed stating that any money the government collects, other than fines received through court actions, be called a TAX. No more "fees" of any type... if the government collects it, its a tax.

3. I suggest that the every government body publish, both in paper publication, and online, a listing of all taxes, delineating where each is applicable by zip code, or what ever other means of describing the taxed area is appropriate. Individuals can then look up by location exactly what taxes would apply in that area. This should include any tax imposed by any taxing body at all... Wouldn't you like to be able to know just what you do, or would pay?

4. In addition, I propose that essential services, such as law enforcement, fire protection, ambulance services, and such, be fully funded from general funds, not from special levies. "Essential services" must be limited for this to work. It should not be a political football to claim that your house is going to be burgled, burned down, and that the ambulance won't come just because you won't vote for that special levy they use to fund those services. Let them fund art for prisons from special levies....
