First of all, you boneheads need to realize that the UN is just a glass building in New York. Mr Annan is an administrator with zero power. The power of the UN lies in the security council. United States is the most powerful member of the security council. Do the math!!!!!!!

Sometimes the truth hurts. The UN is the sole property of the US, it uses the UN to seek legitimacy for its actions. When world opinion goes against the US, it treats the UN with utter contempt. The US has vetoed many UN resolutions furthering human rights, peace, nuclear disarmament, economic justice, the struggle against South Africa Apartheild and Israeli lawlessness. This despite the fact that the US did not pay it's UN dues for decades.

The US is one of only two countries-the other being Iraq-that has not ratified the 1989 landmark UN convention on the rights of the Child. it also held back ratification to ban landmines. In 1982 and 1983, the US was alone in in voting against a declaration that education, work, healthcare, proper nourishment and national development are human rights.

The US has been financing domestic growth through the savings of the rest of the world. The US denies democratic control over their own destinies to over two thirds of the world's population. Most of the world has no say at the IMF, World Bank, and WTO. The US defrauds the least developed countries thus increasing their poverty. AGOA signed into law by president Bush in 2001 defrauds the people of Africa-you can read more about this on your own time.

Please, go back to watching friends, Seinfeld and your virtual reality shows. Bash Kofi, bash Ghali, bash everything else. The problem lies with you my friend. Until you realize that, you loose your soul day by day.
