Talks Are Set on Ending Battle of Iraq

I think it's swell violence is down in Iraq. But be honest, it is still quite high overall. No foreigner is going to sit on the street in Baghdad and have a cup of coffee anytime soon. There is every reason to believe that if the troops leave the current government will quickly collapse to be replaced with a new version of Saddam. The insurgents aren't going home. What's going here other than American domestic politics?
