Immigrants Are Seen as a Boon to City's Economy
in response to reader comment: a nation of immigrants....

Submitted by gaf, Nov 28, 2007 08:41

Re Wisebird's comments on illegals....yes, our parents and grandparents immigrated to this great country, but through channels and legally and most had something to offer other than just physical labor. They wanted to become Americans and learn English. Not so today, these aliens want their own ghettos, own schools and values. Further, many feel they are entitled to entitlements, cut rate education and whatever else is available as a handout. As a result of our politicaly correct responses today, the country is in serious danger of becoming a second rate nation. Let us not offend anyone and put "our" values on the backburner so these people don't feel unwelcome. In my opinion and apparently the opinion of most Americans, they are, in fact, unwelcome until they enter legally....unfortunately, many of our politicians just don't get it.
