I dislike Senator Clinton a bit less now. - Reader comments at The New York Sun

I've long had concerns about Hillary Clinton's leftist political affiliations from her student days. Lots of people had them, some outgrew them, some didn't. It was hard to tell which was the case with her.

This story of her standing up to her old lefty acquaintances and a concerted Hollywood celebrity campaign indicates that she did.

That she foresaw Reagan's win as a certainty isn't terribly surprising, but it does indicate that she operates based on political reality rather than wishful thinking as all too many of her fellow Democrats do.

I hope a we elect a Republican president in 2008. But ... If we do have to endure a Democrat, of the options available it appears that Senator Clinton sucks the least.
