Syria Is Focus of Attention at Annapolis

Submitted by Dave Levy, Nov 28, 2007 13:04

It seems apparent that why Israel is on the Golan Heights has been forgotten in all the rhetoric coming out of Annapolis.

For decades, Syria had fired on Israeli farmers, attempted to divert Israel's water, joined a defense pact with Egypt (allowed Egyptian divisions), and faked for their allies, the Communist Russians, an Israeli buildup of forces prior to the 67 War.

Even though an agreement ending the above war was negotiated with Syria, it still attacked Israel on the Jewish holy day (the Syrians thought the entire country would be defenseless with so many of it's population in prayer).

Captured Israel soldiers were emasculated.

Syria is a dictatorship, it's leader myopic.

Syria now has made a pact with the Iranian devil for mutual self-defense. It supports a criminal organization in Lebanon and still is meddling in Lebanese affairs.

Syria refused to accept Israel's proposal to accept 99% of the Golan Heights, allowing Israel only small access to the water body.

The bottom line is that without Egypt, Syria cannot make war on Israel, and it knows it, even though it has over 700 missiles aimed at Israel's heartland, with biological/chemical warheads (it tried to manufacture atomic bombs until Israel took out it's clandestine reactor recently).

Israel owes Syria nothing but another defeat.
