Bush Declares 'Battle' for Mideast
in response to reader comment: Bush has given legitimacy to terrorists...

Prior to Bush there were twenty-eight ongoing conflicts in the world involving repressive Muslim regimes, with lots of documentation of massive human rights abuses, and specific women's rights abuses. Some were hitting American targets overseas. When Bush took Office we were immediately hit by one of them, resulting in three-thousand innocent deaths, cheered in Muslim neighborhoods throughout the world including Europe. Osama T-shirts were seen in news clips on young men and became a instant hit in the Muslim world. Saddam was not cooperating with any of the seventeen peaceful resolutions directed by the United Nations, to include the distribution of large checks to families of anyone who blow themselves up in Israel. Saddam was given strict directions not to support any known or suspected terrorists, as he was harboring Abdul Rahman Yassin, the terrorist who built the bomb for the first World Trade Center bombing. Slaughter was continuing in the Sudan. Iran thumbing its nose at the IAEA, while taunting the U.S. and Israel. Terrorist cells were being exposed all over Europe on a continuous basis. There are hundreds of books in the library documenting these growing terrorist activities around the world prior to Bush. Bush is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Alternative energy is one thing that will shut down the money supply and force a region of the world the is 94% oil dependent to have to make real products and be dependent on the rest of the world instead of the rest of the world being dependent on them. Bush cannot fix that by himself.
