Sell the Whole Farm for Santana

The one thing that most of the people that commented are missing is the fact that the Red Sox want him to keep him away from NY. It is no secret that the Yankees and the Red Sox are both interested and the play here for Boston is to make the deal for him now, sign him to a long term deal, and keep him away from NY. He will either be traded this offseason or by the allstar break. If you wait to see how things "pan out" the potential is too great that the "arch rival" will obtain him in a deal. Let's face it, it far more important for NY to get Sanatan then it is for Boston who already bosts Beckett(shoulda been the Cy Young winner), Mastusaka(15 game winner and destine for more), Wakefield(gonna get you 10-14 wins a year), Buckholz(throws a no-hitter in start #2), and Lester(proven that he has a great fight in him and is left handed), oh yeah and that guy named Schilling(hmmm....). So if the Red Sox get him the rotation would look kinda like this: Beckett, Santana, Matsusaka, Schilling, and Lester/Buckholz/Wakefield, obviously either Buckholz or Lester goes in the deal for Sanatana. Could you imagine having to face Schilling as a number 4 starter when on tons of teams would have him as a number 2 and a few even as their ace? You see how important it is for NY to get him now? This is why the "untouchable" Chamberlain should go. NY has to get Sanatana or they are destine for consecutive 2nd place finishes.
