Its unfortunate that the Hoover Institute sees fit to give Shelby Steele pay checks to write these trite screes about race and sex. His inability to overcome his hang-ups about his own racial identity since he has a white mother and black father causes him to try to trash any liberal politician who tries to make a difference. His twin brother does not have these hang-up perhaps its because he is liberal. Obama is an example of what Democrats can do for Black politicians what has not nor cannot do for Black Republicans.
