Yet another (forgettable) book on race. 142 page of crap. Amazing. Is this how (self-professed) intellectuals spend their time? Writing and reading mumbo-jumbo about who is black and who isn't. A lot of what is written here is offensive; simply put it is better left unsaid because it is not compelling enough to merit any worthwhile thought or attention.

Point well taken from John Graves. Shelby Steele is spinster and can't really be taken seriously. I mean how many books can you write about "white guilt." Give us a break.

Ok, John (McWhorter), are you condemning Obama for acting white or acting black? Oh, both and your tad bit annoyed by that -- gee, thanks, that's really informative and evolved of you. You've got a lot of nerve.
