Texas Challenges City on Math Curriculum

Submitted by Richard Skibins, Nov 30, 2007 22:09

Everyday Mathematics is published by McGraw Hill, the same idiots profiteering from NCLB. These big Bush supporters are making millions off of keeping our kids stupid. Former deputy chancellor Diana Lam was fired from her position in San Antonio because math scores dropped after she forced Everyday Mathematics down their throats. After her firing, the program was dropped in favor of a more traditional program. Test scores now continue to rise yearly. In Pittsburgh, PA, scores rose dramatically when they dumped Everyday Mathematics.

I suggest that an investigation be conducted as to why we still have this bombastic program. Follow the money!
